Our Voices, Our Future
Speak Out Sisterhood
a global nonprofit elevating young professionals to eradicate barriers to equality for women in STEM
Our Founder
Hi! I'm Aynsley Szczesniak, a proactive STEMinist and youth leader empowering women in STEM to shatter the glass ceiling. I'm an Honors Carolina Scholar studying Biology, Mathematics, and Entrepreneurship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I am also the youngest member of the Advisory Board of the Carolina Women's Center. I'm proud to be the North Carolina State Lead of Million Women Mentors and an ATHENA Young Professional Award Finalist
As a young woman in STEM myself, I’ve felt the paralyzing terror of imposter syndrome and gender bias, and I’ve realized that what carries me through is self-confidence, self-advocacy, and a network of trusted mentors I can depend on. That’s why I’ve built Speak Out Sisterhood, a global network empowering young women to advance in STEM. As CEO, I unite a team of incredible young women worldwide in a mission to equip one another with the skills and strength to fight for our right to be in STEM, and to take the lead in the innovation that makes STEM so exhilarating.
